I'm writing this on the way back from the amazing Scotland trip me and my family had this week. they were such fun and at the same time relaxing days, so I'd like to share some moments with you ≧▽≦

I noticed that Scotland was way different from France. First, because of the weather - omg, this fresh rainy weather is really relieving from the heat we have to suffer every summer day in France XD But I also noticed that scottish people were very different from french ones. Now, I understand why strangers often call french people mean and rude. In Scotland, everyone is so polite, elegant, sweet, nice and honest ! The atmosphere there is much more friendly and welcoming than the one we have in France. I even made two friends ! I was a bit sad in the end, when I had to leave them, but we hope we'll can meet each other again in the future

One of my favourite moments of the trip was an afternoon spent in Endinburgh. Apparently, they were three festivals at the same time going on that day, so the city was really lively ! I used to hate walking through big towns and cities in my coutnry, because I feel insecure and oppressed by the crowd. But there, despite of the huge amoount of people around me, I felt very great. As I was saying higher, people there always look so kind and smiling, and going through this crowd of such happy-looking people felt really heart-warming !

Another moment I loved (my very favourite this time ) was when I assisted to the Highland Games. For those who may not know what they are, it's a kind of sport competition. But trust me, the Olympics are NOTHING compared to that XD There were a bunch of weird and hardcore games such as caber and 40 kg weight tossing - wtf, why did I actually saw ? Q___Q This was really fun tho, and most of all, really impressive ! There was also a traditional scottish dance contest, which was awesome too. The music, the choregraphy and the dancers were absolutely beautiful. I took some photos during their performance, and used them as refrences to make some sketches. It helped me a lot practice poses and movement ^^


In summary, I really loved this week It's not that I don't like drawing (drawing = my life), but taking a break from all hard work and practice (7 hours per day) was very relieving. Plus, I'm sure that I'll can make very interesting studies from all the photos I took there !
