How many times did I looked up at the sky, stared at the birds, envious, wishing to be able to spread my own wings, me too, and fly away, freely, to reach for my hopes and dreams ?

Hey everyone !
In my last journal entry, I wrote that I was working on a sequential artwork - well here is the first part !
This idea was inspired by a feeling which often comes to me when I'm coping with difficult times. During this moments, when I look at the sky, and see all these birds flying across clouds, with their wings wchich can take them wherever they want, I can't help feeling envious. It seems so easy, too easy for them to move on from cheerless places to brighter horizons. I wish I could fly away, and escape from gloom and pain so easily, me too.

At this time I didn't know how to turn it into a illustration yet. Of course some ideas came in my mind, but I didn't like them much. And one day, I don't really know how, this picture came into mind. When I sketched it out, I immediately knew THIS was the right one. And I was right to follow my intuition, I'm really proud of how it turned out !

I wasn't really sure of how I should call it. The first name I chose was "Dreams of Freedom", but then I realized that the song which was playing while I was drawing was from an album called "On that day, I looked up at the sky" by Shinrabansho. I guess this was fitting perfectly. (Oh and btw, the album's cover was drawn by :iconkirero1:, I really love that artist haha, go check them out~)

I'm glad I could express myself through this piece of art, it means a lot to me. Hope you'll enjoy it as well~
Have you ever felt like the girl in the picture ? ;)
